TEMPLE BAR Temple Bar is Dublin's cultural quarter with lively nightlife attracting many tourists. Its narrow cobbled streets are pedestrianised and are ideally suited to a leisurely stroll through the quarter. The Temple Bar Food Market can be found in the Meeting House Square on Wednesdays and Saturdays selling gourmet and organic food and a wide selection of international cuisine from sushi to salsa. The Cultural Quarter in Temple Bar offers over 50 different Dublin cultural and artistic organisations. The diversity of art forms is rich including living artists, new media, experimental work in all art genres including theatre, music, film, design and visual arts. In addition to the galleries, cinema, theatres, Temple Bar Properties runs a year-round programme of cultural events in the area's outdoor spaces, known as Temple Bar Outdoors. After dark, the area is a major centre for nightlife, with many nightclubs, restaurants and bars.
